Carmen Flores Community Center is closed for renovations and scheduled to be reopened in 2004 		The Pride of Fruitvale - El Orgullo De Fruitvale features a redesigned park and serves as a meeting place and outreach center for the César E. Chávez Branch Library, Fruitvale Lions Club (sponsors of "Adopt the Park"), Community Health Academy, Spanish Speaking Citizens Foundation, Hawthorne-Whitton School, La Clinica de la Raza, Trust For Public Land (TPL), Lila Wallace Reader's Digest Fund, Friends of Parks & Recreation, University of California/School of Public Health, and Oakland Metropolitan Forum.
