Oakland Street Stylers
Oakland Street Stylers creates meaningful experiences of joy and liberation through critical play and recreation. Led by two Oakland freestyle soccer artists, educators and cultural practitioners, we honor and critique histories of people and place, build awareness of belonging, engage body and mind and center our collective joy. Our play and recreation are the vehicles we use to experience and embody the world in which Black, Brown and Indigenous peoples’ joy, history and creative expression are made visible.
