ABOUT US

The Oakland Parks and Recreation Foundation (OPRF) was established in 2015 through the merger of Friends of Oakland Parks and Recreation and the Oakland Parks Coalition. Building on decades of community leadership and advocacy, OPRF envisions a future where every Oakland park and recreation center is well-maintained, safe, and equitably utilized. Parks are essential to Oakland’s vibrancy and resilience, fostering play, celebration, and connection in every neighborhood.
