Michael Hammock

Michael Hammock, a lifelong Oakland resident, dedicated 36 years to serving with Oakland Parks and Recreation before retiring in 2006.  Since then, Michael has been an active board member of the Oakland Parks Recreation Foundation for 12 years, where he proudly serves on the scholarship committee.  His focus is on improving access to recreational and youth development programs for all Oakland children and families. Michael's legacy is one of commitment,  community leadership, and inspiring mentorship in Oakland’s public recreation sphere.
